We are no longer taking on private, 1 on 1, training sessions. Brooke, owner and head trainer, is going on maternity leave as of February 17th, with no set return date.

We look forward to working with you in a different capacity!

We encourage calm, balanced dogs.

The Common Dog's programs are centered around building a healthy and strong relationship with your dog. We do this by incorporating play, rewards, intentional interactions, clear communication, windows of opportunity and addressing state of mind.

We introduce a time and place for play, cuddles, excitement as well as structure, boundaries and household management techniques into our training programs. This helps owners implement guidelines in the relationship and in the home, address a dog's state of mind, teach impulse control, and builds a healthy relationship with the owner and family based on leadership, clear guidance, positivity, boundaries and trust.

Private Training

1 on 1 Private Sessions with owners and their dog. We cater these sessions to the individual needs of every owner and dog.

mobile Day Training

Individual sessions with your dog and a trainer, as well as, one on one coaching for owners, all in the comfort of your own home.

Structured Dog Walking

Our Structured Dog Walking focused on training, behaviour, leash manners, mindset and polite socialization.

Brooke and Dogs on a Structured Dog Walk, sitting for treats

"We got two puppies from the same litter and started working with Brooke from the time they were about 2.5 months old. I cannot recommend her enough! Every time we would have a training session with her we would come with a list of questions and issues to work on. Brooke always had simple solutions for us that made sense and worked very effectively. She taught us so much about our dogs behaviours and how to interact with them so that we achieve the results we want. She trained us and our dogs! Our boys go for the structured walks twice a week and this has been so amazing for them and for us! We love getting updates about their adventures and what they worked on. We appreciate Brooke and Bella so very much!"

"Last year I adopted a rescue dog. I thought I could train my dog myself (as I have always owned dogs) but soon realized I needed extra help with a few issues such as reactivity to strangers and other dogs. The Common Dog was the answer! Brooke is very calming, confident and caring. She is very knowledgeable about any situation, listens to your goals, and will accommodate your training needs to your lifestyle. After lessons and continuing hard work, my dog and I can now handle different scenarios. A big success! I highly recommend the Common Dog for anyone and any dog!"

"Brooke has been an incredible help with training Murphy. We always knew how we would like Murphy to behave and act but we were never sure on what to do to get her there. Brooke has given us tools to use to train Murphy and improve some “bad habits” and it’s been amazing to see Murphy respond. It has blown us away at what a few changes, commands, and tools can do!
We are so thankful for Brooke and what she has not only taught our dog but us as well!
We highly recommend her!"
